Very cool tank....

I was just wondering if it would be ok to add some more live sand to my refugium, tank is about three months old. The pic below is the amout of sand, I have rock and plants down there now but I feel like I need more sand. What woul happen if I added more sand ? Would another cycle happen or...

I had four of them in my tank and I used a Syringe and injected them with boiling water. Only had to inject one time to each of them. "It works", haven't had anymore problems with them

My packages had plent of water in them, just had some slow leaks, causing the boxes to get wet.

Ohh you talk about clams, about ten of them came on my rock,three sea erchins, four small serpant stars, three cucumbers, five of those limpet guy's, seeing new things every time I look at it. Really cool hobie .

Yea, I got my rock rock from Florida. When it came in the boxes were leaking, so I didn't want to bring them in and get the floor wet, so I carried each piece in and I guess the little guy hung on. I did get a mantis shrimp with the package, caught him in about 5 min, no problem getting that guy...

Aren't the Diatoms the brown stuff that shows when the tank goes thru the cyclind stage?

I don't knw, but if you find out let me know. I herd they show up in new tanks, something about they like the silicates or something and they will start going away as the tank matures. My 55 gal is only a little over two months old.

Yea they have 6 legs, there are almost as many of these as there are pods. Kinda irritating little guy's can't keep the front of the glass clean.

What about hydroids? I have these also, look like little stars.

I have these to, I can clean the front of my glass and an hour or later there are hundreds. They look like little lice and crawl all all over real fast. You guy's say these are ok?
