I was doing a water change and my torch tenticles got sucked up into my syphon tube!! Many of the bright colored ends (electric torch) got sucked away!!! I feel so bad!! There are still tenticles on it, but they are deflated and look terrible. Is it going to recover I hope?

Hi all, I just wanted to share.

I havent used carbon in my system. Could someone tell me what the purpose of it is? I know FW tanks use them constantly in thier filters, but SW? Where do you put it? In the sump, tank, overflow box? Someone give me a clue please?
