    I'm doing it

Yeah, I've increased flow, sucked out the cyano with water changes, fed less, changed my sock everyday, moved the sand around more, all parameters are good. I just don't know what else to do and why it's still here. So, yes, I'm going to use chemicals as a last resort even though I don't want to.

    I'm doing it

I can't beat the red cyano. I've been beaten by it; about a four month battle and I've tried everything. I'm going to get red slime remover tomorrow to try and get rid of it.

    Let's see some Chalice pics!!

Here is my first one. Just got it today. I don't know what kind it is or anything. Will they spread onto the sand? It's starting to grow around the frag plate it's on. Do you feed them at all or just lighting?

    Clown Tang

Yeah, I really like the sohals and that's what I really wanted but was a little pricey for me. Plus I read that they get pretty large and need a bigger tank than a 90 to live in for a long period of time.

    Clown Tang

Well, unfortunately when I came home from work today he was dead. This is the first fish I've lost in this tank and he was one of my favorites already.

    Clown Tang

Anyone ever had a problem with getting a clown tang to eat? I've had him for about a week or so and he has been nipping at some algae I've had on my rock, but he's not really eating anything else. I've tried frozen, flake, pellet, and nori and he really hasn't touched anything. Tonight he's...

    new chalice frag

Do they grow their own skeleton if there is no rock or do they just encrust existing rock?

was curious what you fed your lps corals

I spot feed a mixture of mysid, krill, cyclo, and flake about twice a week to mine and they seem to be doing great and growing.

    new chalice frag

That thing is awesome. I've seen some at my LFS and thought they looked pretty cool but I don't know anything about what they need as far as lighting and what not. Are they a difficult coral to keep and what are the flow and lighting requirements?

    Id please

Good luck my friend. I've tried everything except the chemicals to get rid of it and it still comes back. It's been about a four month battle so far.

    What is this??

Bubble algae will spread very fast and become a huge nuisance and eye sore if it is not taken care of. I had a huge outbreak of it and added about five emerald crabs in my 90 gallon. They took care of it very quickly and efficiently. I've also heard that fox face rabbit fish eat it also.
