    feeding monti caps

Yeah, that's where it's at. Like I said I wasn't going to get it just asking questions and the two people in the LFS talked me into it. It's a pretty reputal store in the area and they know more than I do that's for sure.

    feeding monti caps

Prob not enough lighting. I know you really shouldn't keep sps under pc's. I've got 4x96w pc's and I was really iffy on getting it. I was talked into it by a couple of people so I thought I'd give it a chot and I've have heard of people keeping the monti caps under pc's. I'm watching it...

    feeding monti caps

I feed a mix of mysis, krill and cyclo to some of my lps so the tank gets some cyclo. Hopefully this will be fine. This is my first sps and I'm hoping it grows and does well.

It's 3 meq/L. It's been up for about six months or so now. Yeah, I don't know why there isn't a lot of corraline.

What's a good calcium level for a tank that has mostly zoas and softies, but I've got some sps and I just got a monti cap. My calcium was 480 and my alk was 3. Are these good levels or is the cal too high? Also, I don't really have very much purple corraline algae. I believe I have a lot of...

What do you feed monti caps? I was told rotifers of cyclo. What's better and do you have to spot feed or just feed the tank? Thanks for any suggestions.

    Woohoo

Good to know. The guy I got it from fed it daily so maybe that's why it was so big. I only feed two to three times a week and it's not quite inflated anymore but still got good size to it.

    How do acans grow?

My acan has pretty large heads and a bunch of baby heads underneath it. How do I know if it's growing more skeleton or not.

    Difference between micromusa and acans?

Aren't micromusas harder to keep too?

    Hammer Question

I don't know that it will grow back into the existing dead skeleton, but I have one that was given to me in bad shape and it now has about six little heads growing off the side of dead head. So I'd say leave it in and maybe some new ones will grow off.

    Shrooms ?

Sometimes they'll fill up with water. Sometimes they do that to try and move. They'll fill up and un-attach themselves and let the current move them.

    Please ID

If it's got two small mouths on it it's a tunicate, which is just a filter feeder. I had a couple that started that small and were about two inches after a year. Kind of neat looking and different.

    Green Grandis

I've got 4x96 pc and I feed my cinnamon palys like two to three times a week and they're starting to turn white. I def don't think that's too much light and they are down towards the bottom of the tank

    Green Grandis

Those are awesome. Do they keep their color better than the cinnamon palys?

    Shrooms ?

That's plenty of lighting for shrooms. Some of them tend to get larger than others, but are they looking "inflated" or just larger than the others?
