I thought the sebaes were supposed to be white with purple tips....that's what color all the ones there were when I got it. It turned all tan when it was behind the rocks for almost four months.
Also, does it matter if the fleshy heads are touching the rock or is the sand bed a better place for them? And do the feeder tentacles stay out all the time, I just fed them and they're still out.
I bought a sebae anemone about six months ago or so. It decided it wanted to go behind the rocks and it stayed there for about three and half months or so.
In the past month it's decided to join the rest of the tank and picked a pretty cool spot.
My question is, when I got it it was white...
I finally got my first acan. I don't know what kind it is but I think it's great. The big heads are about the size of a fifty cent piece; is this normal for them to be this big? There are about eight or nine baby heads underneath that you can't see in the pic. I'm so excited
Damn, I plan on feeding once or twice a week. I already feed my hammer, frogspawn and some zoas a mixture of frozen krill, mysis and cyclo. They all seem to like that.
I can only hope that mine will grow that fast and look as good. I just got mine today and I'm still trying to find a place that it likes and will fully open.
I mean they were absolutely amazing and beautiful and I'd never seen any that color before, but that's crazy. They were also about 3.5" in diameter a piece.
Wow, I just left a LFS that was selling some pretty awesome bright orange yumas. Too bad they were $225 for a single one!!! Anyone ever heard of such a ridiculous price??
I just got my first Duncan frag for $10 and put it in my tank. It's a 90 gal. Where should I put it; I always see them on the sand bed. I have 4x96 pc and I have good flow. Would it be fine if I put it on the sand bed were there is good flow?
I'll post some pics once it opens up later
I'm so afraid to attempt to frag anything for that exact reason. I've got some pretty cool orange skirts and kryptonites that are spreading very well. I just don't want to kill anything off
