Any ideas of what to use the empty 55 for ? I still have the skimmer/wet/dry and pump and plumbing on it in a different area just will have water in it only for now no SB no LR I was thinking using it to cure LR if I get some more for my 110 in the future... any other ideas ?

I have about 100 lb's of LR in the 55 I plan on putting some in the wet/dry and the rest in the DT 110 also I have 90 lb's pf premium florida keys sand that has been in my DT for 18 months..

why would there be Nitrate in Spring water ? and what other trace elements are there ? It's water and salt..55 gal of it to go along tith 55 gal of established 2 years water that was ro/di water at the time with pristine conditions..

Nope why is brine so popular if it has very little protein or vital nutrients in it ?

I'm upgrading today my 55 to 110 I already have the water all set in a bucket or buckets mixed..and tested..I plan hopefully this goes well im praying...to add my 55 gal of dt water to the 110 along with the 90 lb of sand and all my inverts fish and corals since this is a huge massive water...

gets too messy and my roomate has a complex with her blender etc and kitchen items ..long story it's just easier for me to buy foods..It is too bad as I just bought 3 packs of mysis and brine and some sliver sides and squid...

I'm getting a new wet/dry today It comes with the bio balls should I remove them and put in LR the sump is 36 gal. on a 110 If I should go with the LR how much to put in and should I put in any sand or anything else ? maybe some cleaner clams ? thanks.

so go with formula 1 pellets and formula prime reef frozen foods,I can't prepare my own foods.

It might be microscopic bubbles or calcium carbonite I have no idea nothing has looked stressed or fatal so I have no ckue what it is..hopefully it's the beginning of coraline algae and will go away soon. no losses of fish or coral or inverts.

Is brine /mysis shrimp good? and how often ?

I feed frozen foods mysis brine squid 3-5 x a week...In between it's formula 1 pellets..been doing this for a year. Phosphates are at 1.0

I just did a check for Phosphates in my 80 gal. RT its been up almost 2 years now and I have a wet/dry and a super skimmer.. The test showed Phosphates were at 1.0 How can I bring them down to 0 ? Is there anything else besides water changes I can do and if so how much and how many water changes...

PH always 8.2 Calcium always 400-500 Magnesium was recently over 3 weeks increased from 1080 to 1280 how high should it be ? Alk was from 11.2dkh to 7.5 dkh now back to 10.4 dkh help!

I don't wear any lol, I was just saying once you do a water change you need to get all the params back up to the right levels and I'm using spring water or ocean water not ro/di water so I would assume the less water change the better I used to do once every 2-3 weeks now 1 time every 4-6 weeks...

How do you get rid of the snow in your tank it's gone on the rocks and its flying very tiny through the tank it even gets on some of the scaled fish.. I have a 80 gal RT I've been dosing calcium 2-3x a month for 6 months to keep levels at 400-500 I negelected to test ALK so I'm assuming this...

What do they eat in the wild ?

If your water is clean and clear and all your levels are perfect why do a water change what's the benefit ?
