same b4 and same after except I was trying to be cute and increase my alk from 2.8 to 3.6 ppl I messed up and a coral paid for my foolish mistakes..its an 80 gal RT whatst he correct way to increase alk and have the ph remain the same..

well the instructions said put in and didn't mention to mix i guess it did burn the corals 1 of them might not make it the anemone is struggling as well.. in my 80 gal. RT

I'm currently at the end of a 3 week period to increase my magnesium levels from 1080 to 1280, as magnesium goes up will that have any effects on the alk, and calcium levels ?
my sal is 1.026 temp is 77-79F calcium is 450 and alk is 3.6 (around 10 dkh)Ph is 8.2

why were corals damaged ?
I added 6 teaspoons of alk buffer instant ocean as per dire tions to my DT and it instantly damaged 10 corals most pulled through i'm waiting on the last 2 to make a full recovery the plate coral on the SB well lets just say its prob not gonna make it half of it is...
Plate coral button polyp and star polyps prob won't make it I put in some ph buffer and it must have burned them the star polys are not coming out and the bottom polyps are closed as well, the plate coral half of it is already turning whitish with toxins coming out from it...I guess u cant just...

Can this additive burn or hurt corals? I just wan't to know if it can be added directly to your DT as per directions or is it better to mix this with DT water then pour in DT or sump.
