Royal Gramma was one of my first fish. Had him a couple of years.............no problem. He made his home a hole in one of the rocks. Been there ever since. He patrols the tank, keeps everyone in line. Maybe yours just wasn't healthy?

My lfs says metal halides are too hot for my tank. They want me to stick with VHO 250-300. They say it would cost 700 to do mh. The thing is, there stuff doesn't look that great. My tank is a 36 gallon behind the wall, so the lighting doesn't have to be pretty. Any opinions?

I'm starting from scratch. in wall small room for equipment about 8x8 space for 4 ft long what equipment should I purchase for a reef system looking at 75gal any good books on the subject
