you would need a VERY large tank, especially with the cat shark. in general, sharks need very large tanks. i read in a thread about a guy with a 4000 gallon tank in his living room with sharks and rays. it was pretty cool, he had lots of pics. but ya, it would have to be a grande style tank

ya, piranas are illegal in some states, not sure which ones, but i know for sure they are illegal in california and utah.

17g to an inch of fish CANT be right. with what smccarthy said, 1 inch of fish for a gallon in a freshwater tank, but in a saltwater it is roughly 1 inch of fish equals 2g which is about twice the ratio of water and inches of fish in a freshwater tank.
