Anyone have thoughts on shrimp and crabs in the same system? Especially one so small? I am pretty sure it will be a bad idea... if not all the time, then definitely when the shrimp is in the process of molting. My sally is very small, but I think she could take down even a larger shrimp if it...

Well I do feed the crabs. There is liverock in the tank that they eat off of, but I supplement that with sinking pellets. If I fed him, would he be okay? I don't think the LFS will hold him for me.

I picked up 5 hermit crabs yesterday. I had read about blues, scarlets and a few others. They didn't have any blues and I did not want to get all scarlets, so I picked up one with orange legs that I thought was a "halloween hermit." I am now almost certain that he is a very small giant hermit...

I did my first water test today on the 5.5 gallon mini-marine live rock tank. Remember... added the liverock on Saturday. So it's been in there 5 days. I've got nothing... except some barely readable nitrates. Maybe 5 ppm. All the rest are zero across the board, and it is a brand new test kit...
