Thank you... I just dont want to drop the cash and not have it do what i want ya know.. I understand that the way to go is MH but i am just worried about the heat and dont really have the fundage for one right now, and chillers are $$$$$$$$. Thanks :)

I have a 29g tank and was wondering what i could keep in it with this lighting system. 65 watt 10,000K and 65 watt True Actinic 03 Blue straight pin base compact fluorescent lamps would I be able to keep any anemone. Is an orbit system better. Thanks

Funny i was looking at the same set up for my tank.. The guy at the LFS said 3 to 31/2 watts per gallon is good for all soft corals and most inverts. So i have the same question as you.

My amonia has been as high as .5 ppm and is back down to 0 and has done this like 3 times. I have all kinds of algea in the tank. Just no Nitrates or Rites.... ????????? I have been feeding the tank for 5 weeks

Well I started my tank about 8 weeks ago. At start up I used Distilled water added 30 lbs of LR and also 30 Lbs of LS. Waited and waited but never seem to cycle. So like an idiot I took some advise from the LFS.... Dude told me togo ahead and add a clown so I added a clown and 3 turbo's this...

I had the same problem. What kind of heater do you have? I went out and bought a new visa therm stealth (I think)and it solved my problem...... Good luck

I have had my tank for about 6 weeks or so. I have 3olbs of LR and 30lbs of LS. What is considered to be an Ammonia Spike during the cycle? How long after that spike will I see Nitrites and Nitrates? Thanks for the help... :thinking:

Well I thank all of you for your help.

The rock and sand was added the sametime at start up.. Ammonia did peak at .5 ppm and now is arround 0 ish ( if you know what I mean very little if any... I have seen no nitrates...
