what is involved with setting up a DSB? How would I do that if I already have about 3 inches of crushed coral in the tank... seems like it would cause a lot of disruption in the tank. Any advice? Thanks. GW

I've had my tank set up for about 8 months now, and only have two pieces of LR that I got from a friends tank (prob about 5 pounds) and a whole bunca lava rock. Has anyone had any problems adding LR after the tank has been set-up? Also, how much LR would you recomend for a 44gal fish only tank...

That might be what it is... they look exactly like what you are describing but the tubes to my canister are solid so I can't tell. I think I'll be going to the local fish store to get some clear tubing tomorrow and see if that clears it up. Thanks for the response.
