There are hundreds of these little creatures swimming in and around the growth on my LR. What could they be? They are so tiny that a picture would be nearly imposible. Also there are dozens of small simitranslucent "frond" like structures growing off of the LR as well. Might they be sponges...

Correction it is a srepent star.

Correction based on more research it is a serpent star. Darn those LFS's. Cant get a name right.

Is two hours long enough to drip acclimate a brittle star that was bagged for maybe 20 minutes? Should I go longer?

Ever since my brittle star died there has been this redish brown stuff forming on my live sand. Can anyone tell me what this might be and what to do about it? I can post pics if needed.

But it is only the arm. There is no sizable portion of the disk attached. Will it still survive?

My brittle star that died a few days ago lost its arms before it died , I missed one and now it is moving around the tank :notsure: . Does this happen often? Will it become a new star, or should I remove it as well?

Well it's to late now it died during the night. I drip acclimated for One hour. The tank is about 1.5 months old with animals. 10 gallon( it was a very small star only 1/2 inch diamiter body). I performed a water change about a week ago with RO water. I tested the water yesterday morning and...

My Brittle star has been in the tank for about 2 weeks and seemed fine. Until today, today it dropped all but two of its arms and part of the remaining arms is there anything I can do? Is this normal?

All ready noted I had one on my 10 but have since added a power filter and turned off the UG filter.
