I was wondering if I could put two Surgeon fish together, if they are both different species?

Yeah I have had a few loses, the last wiping out all the fish except a Rankin Cod. I know everyone has losses but its the constant worrying and monitoring that bothers me, I want fish that you feed and that is all, i want no disease, bad water quality and fish that will live longer that 6 months...

I really want a nice fish tank but don't want to be constantly worried about my fish dying, just wondering if anyone had any thoughts, p.s. I was looking for something other than boring old Damsels.

my lfs recently told me that the local sand i used contains high levels of zinc. I was wondering if this would have any affect on live rock and fish. if so would i have to change all my water and get new substrate or can i just treat it? thanks.

Coral Beauty is omnivore and likes to eat marine algae, mysid shrimp, Spirulina and other meaty treats, there great fish.

Just Wondering if anyone has had one of these, Im very interested in how hardy they are, what there diet is and if they are good for a FO tank with other more timid species. Interested on Raccoon to get rid of Apitsia as there spreading every where(spelling?)any other ideas would be great.

I have been reading replies and questions about refugium and pods, I am new, to these things, so could some tell me what they are, what there for and are they really neccessary for fish other then mandarinfish, and if you do have a manadarinfish do you need a refugium??? help cause I am confused

I had a fish with cloudy eyes and was off colour, is this some disease or simply just bad water, please help because water changes are doing anying. He had it for a while but I took it to the LFS. I am now starting again.
