I'm going to start hard plumbing my 125 this weekend. Any do's or don'ts for me. I'm always afraid there's something stupid I'm going to overlook!!! :thinking: :notsure:

I just recently purchased a ASM-3 and have heard nothing but great things about the skimmer. Mine is still sitting in the box in the fishroom until I set up the tank, hopefully this weekend. I think you made the right choice in choosing ASM and with a little adjusting and fine tuning the noise...

I'll be setting up my 125 this weekend and my sump is a 40 gal that is 17 inches high. After setting the ASM-3 in the sump, the riser tube is just as high as the top of the 40 gal. sump!!!

I would love to see a picture of the ASM-3 working so I can get an idea of how much pressure the water has coming out of the riser tube :help: :help:

Me too!!! I sold my 90 gal. and bought a 125 so I can set it up as an aggressive tank. I finally gave in to my wife and kids because all I ever heard from them was "your tank is BORING." I don't know, I guess they were right. I had the reef set up for at least 6 years but I figure it's just time...

The fish are gone. Sorry, picked up the other day.

Is it better to soft plumb or hard plumb your sump and fuge??? Does it make a difference???

I've never shipped any fish and it kind of scares me!!! :scared: I have no heat packs!!!

The female is about 3 to 3 1/2 inches and the male about 2 to 2 1/4 inches.

I get those bubbles over my live rock and tank also when my cyano starts to come back to haunt me!!!

I'll have 2 filter socks, the protein skimmer, heaters besides any filter media and last but not least my fuge.

Just wondering does anyone have a 55 gal. sump under a 125? I'm talking about a store bought stand, not a DIY'er. Is there room to work?
