I had the same thing happen, what a damn nightmare i was told this might happen because the glass was not that thick so i opted for the real thing when i went to but the new tank i went to a smaller tank 98gal custom built glass is about 1/2 inch thick i feel much safer now

I was always a little weary of them if you have one in mind that is safe for what i have i may give it a try but i was always afriad of them stinging the corals

i have had a few of them they just do not last your doing nothing wrong they are very very tempremental to anything i have given up on them dont waste the time or money there just not worth it it looks like mine did it is dying
