Can i hurt my snail by trying to move him?

Yeah, when I need to move one, I slide gently and use the edge of his shell to kind of break his suction seal as I'm sliding. Just don't pull straight up, you could rip one in half...:nervous:

    Glass covers

I wouldn't take the cover off personally. Since evaporation is of course water, and water + electricity = bad things.

    clown fish and enemones

Wow, that is a lot of light. I would be curious to see a picture of your tank. Any reason for all the light? What kind of stuff are you keeping?

    Live rock mistake?

I was doing some more research this morning, and Ive found that they are not necessarily reef safe. So if you are planning to have a reef tank, you need to keep a close eye on it.

    all you can eat?

Quoting Thomas: You can use the shrimp at the market, chop it up into small pieces and you can feed by hand, tongs, or somthing to place it into the tenticals of the anemones. You can also use, krill, silversides, mysis shrimp, squid, scallops, and some of the frozen foods like zooplankton...

    anemone ????

Actually the flower anemones dont require much of any light at all. My LFS keeps them in a tank that is lighted with florescents. Of course they aren't very big or very pretty, and most clowns wouldn't host in one, but it has happened before. Like has been said, its really up to the clown.

some type of worm in my live rock ?

They are ugly. The guys at my LFS were cleaning/rearanging one of their oldest tanks the other day, and one of the guys found one about 4 feet long! I thought it was f-ing nasty.

    Live rock mistake?

Well, as for leaving the rock in there... You can, if the nitrates and such havent spiked yet then the critters may die. But if you want a fish to eat the aiptasia, I was just talking to a guy in my LFS today about the copperbands and how they will eat that stuff. So no personal experience...

    How many fish?

There really is no absolute rule. A lot of it, and this hobby in general, is just some common sense. If you have lots of live rock and stuff in your tank to define territory you can put a few more fish in there. Whereas a bare tank the fish have no sort of refuge. But for smaller tanks, I...

    Over flow system reliable???

well if you have the overflow box installed it shouldn't be a problem, because the water level will only drop to the top of the box.

What would you do?? PLEAE READ and HELP

BTW. How much waterflow do you have in your tank? A lack of flow makes it a lot easier for this kind of stuff and normal algae to get started. A couple of powerheads can be a good investment in keeping your tank looking good.

What would you do?? PLEAE READ and HELP

For treatment of the red slime there is this medication that is normally used to treat fish with fin and tail rot. The brand my fish store carries is called Mardel and the medicine is called Maracyn. Because the red slime is actually a bacteria NOT AN ALGAE, normal algea treatments arent very...

    ID on a coral?

Ill try and get a pic of this thing up when I get my digital camera working with my new computer. Anyway. I've got this thing, which I believe to be a coral of some sort, growing out of a piece of my liverock. It resembles a yellow stone polyp except that it is upside down, white, and only...

    When to test?

Can't help with the skimmer, but it will probably take at least a few days for the tank to do its thing. You can start testing any time you like though. How much live rock do you have in there? What size tank? How much waterflow does the tank have?

    clownfish

I would also recomend you not try it. Mixing clowns in general is a recepie for somthing to die...

sea anemone + filter = oops!

It indeed sounds like your intake is too close to the rocks, floor, whatever... Get it several inches away from anything, and you wont have to worry so much about anything getting sucked up. And I would recomend the sponge cover as well.

    Tank bred clowns

I think clowns know to seek refuge in an anemone just like a baby knows to cry when it gets hurt. It is going to do what comes naturally to it. If it feels threatened or even if it doesn't, it will seek out the safest place for it to be.
