They are actually classified as semi aggressive, and many fish who are semi-aggressive can be ok. Just like the dwarf flameangel I used to have, he was great. It seems that it is hit or miss with semi-aggressive fish. Besides, I had a 6 line before who was fine as well. This one is different.
there just so happens to be a beautiful fox on divers den right now!
sadly I must wait...I figure I better give my dragons a chance to settle in and then my plan is to add the fox last of all my peaceful fish...which means my wrasse still has to come out of QT...then I will add my purple fire...
hey everyone I haven't really uploaded pics and vids for my tank before and now that I have finally gotten over my last tank mishaps things seem to be going smoother at the moment...
so for those that don't know...I have a 93 gallon cube with a 125 gallon sump drilled through the living room...
I agree you are pretty well stocked at least with fish. They are very good fish for a 55 gallon too. We don't see that often. Yep a 55 is too small for any tang. You can get away with maybe a pygmy angle or at flame back angel. Both are smaller than most dwarf angels. I think you would...
I have been considering an Angel (either a flameangel or coral beauty) but am worried that the tank is too small, and I have also read stories that they can be very hit or miss with coral so I think I will be staying away from those. The other thing I considered was a wrasse but I believe with...
I need some help with last fish. I have 2 clowns 1 royal grama 1 bicolor blenny and 1 purple reef lobster. I would like to add 1 more fish but not sure what would work well with this mix. I was thinking a flameangel. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Also what mods would everyone recommend...
And some of the fish will be cardinals, chromis ,maroon clown, gobies, hawkfish,a blenny, chalk bass, fox face, fire fish, flameangel, gramma and that should about do lol
It could be experiencing some territorial behavior from the blue tang. This doesn't necessarily mean picking on him physically but they can try to assert their dominance by intimidating the new fish. Your tank is marginally large enough for a flameangel but way to small for a blue tang...
I have just added a small FlameAngel to my tank that contains two Clowns a blood shrimp and a small Blue Tang. They all seem to get along great, however the FlameAngel has not eaten since entering the tank two days ago?
A lot of those are small fish so the long list isn't so bad.
I'd nix the engineer goby. they are crazy messy and will move all your sand every day. The other gobies are fine.
I'd also nix the cleaner wrasses. They usually die of starvation pretty quick.
I'm not sure how multiple blennies...
Ok. I think I will try him out and handfeed if I have too.
That's good to know....
it's funny I am actually going to be ordering from Live Aquaria.... good to know. It was either a saddleback or a yellow longnose. I think I want the saddleback now.
I have one. I bought is about 6 months ago. He's about 2 inches long. He does eat coral, only SPS so far, haven't had any issues with LPS. I have him in a 125, eats everything I have ever offered him. Swims all over the tank. Currently his tank mates are a McKoskers flasher wrasse, a...
My algae problem is almost gone! Between the tang, the urchin, and the water changes, it's practically a new tank. I tested my water parameters (first time I've done that in a LONG time) tonight and, surprisingly, they're in pretty good shape. Nitrates and Phosphates are at 0 even with the...
Hello,
To be perfectly honest with you...I couldn't keep a flameangel alive to save myself the first year my tank was up and running. One day is about all it lasted. I was actually afraid to purchase dwarf angels at all, I went through two within 3 months and then gave up..
Two years later, I...
Ammonia nitrate and nitrites are at 0. I have a 65g tank with 2 clownfish and a damsel. None of the fish were hostile towards the flameangel at all, in fact I think they were more frightened of her by her size. Water temp is 75.2 with salinity at 1.024. It was my display tank as I have kids and...
Lots of things could be the issue. First. I would start with what your current tank readings are.
Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrates? What size tank and what are the other inhabitants? What is the waters temp and salinity level or specific gravity? Was it your display tank or a quarantine tank?
This...
Well, on Thursday I ended up purchasing a flameangel for my 65 gallon tank. I did the drip method to acclimate her and she seemed healthy as could be. She seemed to pick at the flakes I fed the tank but wouldn't rush up to get them. I assumed she wasn't accustomed to the feeding times yet...
