I'm interested in purchasing a butterfly, but their feeding habbits seem to confuse me. On SWF.com, it says they preferr clam, but i dont get how i would feed them that; is their any sort of pellet/flake i could feed them?

No, my tank is not drilled, but i did plan on running a protein skimmer in the future, but i always thought good filtration was much more important.

For a 40g setup, with plans to keep a few simple corals, would a Penn Plax Cascade 1000 be efficient filtration? If so, how many gallons could i succesfully run? If not, could you reccomend a different canister? Annd what are your thoughts on 'Instant Ocean' salt

What are your thoughts on this filter? It seems like a really good price for the amount of gallons in can do, but i'm interested in a professional opinion.

Being a newb myself, i think it would be very benifitial if all the pros out there could share some stories of their biggest messups in their salt water aquariums. What do you say, lets all gather around and listen!

I have crappy lights currently, and i would like reccomendations for better lights, that dont cost 6billion dollars, any ideas? I have GE Aquarays fluorescent bulbs. I heard they werent very good, but they've been good for freshwater for many years.
