    Toadstool in Baaad Shape

55 watt smartlight pc. I moved it up because I thought maybe it wasn't getting enough light. I squirted it with a turkey baster and most of the algae came off with the slime layer. I've had this one for about two months now.

    Toadstool in Baaad Shape

Sorry no digital camera. The polyps are extending but don't appear to be opened or are just too small. It is attached to a small piece of LR (not the best base). The thing that concerns me is that I have a good number of other corals including many corals that are all fully opened and looking...

    Toadstool in Baaad Shape

Well my toadstool that has never been doing well is doing even worse (odd since all the other corals including toadstools in the 10 gallon 55watt smartlight nano is doing perfectly). The stump is completely deflated and growing algae (ouch!) and the head is down on the bottom but the polyps...

    Research Paper Ideas

We have to write a pretty long research paper on any topic and I was thinking maybe I could do something reef related but couldn't think of anything specific...any suggestions?

    Los Angeles: Free Toadstool

Well I still have the toadstool here... It is about 5"-6" and too big and not too happy in my nano. The stem looks a bit ragged but the polyps all extend and looks ok otherwise. Needs a well established reef to get it's life back on track. Although I'm willing to let it go for free, it would be...

Los Angeles: Yellow Tail Damsels Free/Trade

I originally put two yellow tail damsels in my 10 gallon nano to get it cycled and up and running. The tank is fine now but the damsels probably aren't too happy in a 10 gallon and I would like to keep other fish. Since I'm such a nice and considerate guy, I would rather give or trade them to...

What and how the heck do you feed a zoanthid

Fill up a turkey baster with live brine shrimp and gently squirt it at your zoos. The brine shrimp will get caught in the polyp (probably gets stung) and the rest is history.

    Skilter Output

I currently have a skilter 250 running on my 10 gallon nano (actually does an ok job despite all the skilter bad talk). Does anyone else have a problem with the strong output? Is there a way to reduce it?

Los Angeles: Free 6" Toadstool Leather

I have one pretty large toadstool leather in my 10 gallon nano which does not seem very happy. All of it's polyps are extended so it is still alive but it needs a home that's more than a nano. Free to anyone willing to pick it up, although I would appreciate frags of something else as a trade...

    Toadstool Slumped Over

Well everything in my tank is doing great, including two other toadstools but this one still isn't too happy. I think part of the reason is that it has a really crappy excuse for a base and keeps tipping over. Any suggestions please?? I was thinking if things continue to look bad with this one I...

    Relocating Damsels?

My 10 gallon nano has been set up for a good couple of months now and I would like to keep different fish. Problem is the two yellow tail damsels currently inhabiting it can barely stand each other and I don't think they would enjoy other fish. I was thinking of setting up another simple SW tank...

    Toadstool Slumped Over

Well I rearranged the tank a bit because someone suggested it might be because of lighting (there are two other toadstools which are doing fine but positioned higher). Lighting is one 55 watt pc smartlight. It is doing much better now although still occasionally slumped. It also has a very...

    Toadstool Slumped Over

This toadstool was usually slumped over the morning but righted itself during the day. Now however it is slumped over most of the time. Any idea what's wrong if anything? http://geocities.com/kram12085/toadclose.jpg http://geocities.com/kram12085/toadcloser.jpg Sorry for the bad digital camera...
