I purchased a AquaC Remora Pro w/ Mag 3 Protein Skimmer last night on an online auction site. I paid 175.00 for this. Is this a good price? Also, is this the good skimmer everyone is referring to?

I have had this coral a little over a month. I has done so well up until today. I have the Coralife light with approx 400 (give or take)watts. They are half blue actinic and half compact florescent.

Can you give me a name of an economical, yet good protein skimmer?

What type (brand) of iron supplement do you suggest? Will this interfere with my two part b-ionic? Also, I don't have an Iron test kit. Does this matter? 8-)

It looks a little like Ich, however, these white spots look thicker....more like cotton. Why would the skin start to peel off the fish after a freshwater dip?
