Got back from holiday & my tank is a MESS!! All my snails are dead as well as 2 of my 3 urchins. Hermits, shrimp, anenome & fish ok. Needless to say, all of the live rock is COVERED w/green hair algae, smothering my beautiful coralline algae. What I need to know is: Will snails take care of it...

I also have one of those critters & have had him for quite awhile now. He does tend to knock over things periodically while cruisin' & munches on some coralline algae & other algae but that's all - haven't had any other problems. I think he's really neat & an interesting addition to the tank!

My lfs gave me some black worms to try as a treat recently. Said that not to feed as a staple since they don't have all the necessary good stuff for healthy fish. I would take a few on my finger & just kinda swish them around in the water. It was like a free for all!! Watch what & what doesn't...

Good suggestion, Ranger. I also have been using Reef Vital DNA by Marc Weiss for awhile now & it truly is amazing stuff! A bit spendy but, it does work - for me anyway. One teaspoon will do 100 gal. so you don't have to use alot & you don't have to use it everyday. Good stuff!!!
