Got up this morning and the anemone looks horrible! Looks almost like it's starting to turn inside out. I put it in my 55 and we'll see if that helps any. My husband will be pissed if it dies.

I was looking at an Odyssea 48" metal halide fixture that's $200. Whatcha think?

Yeah, the fans are super loud and I've got the tank in my living room with my 125 gallon and my 29 gallon cichlid tank, so there's already a little sound from all of the tanks, but the fan from my 55 absolutely drives my husband insane when he's watching TV.

Actually doesn't it just depend on what kind of starfish you get? I've got starfish in both of my tanks with corals and have never had a problem. I was just told to stay away from chocolate chip starfish because they would eat your coraline algae and corals.

I've got a LTA anemone in my 55 that's been thriving for almost a year, he's actually gotten huge! We got this new anemone for my clarkii in my 125 and he hosted to him within 5 minutes! But I'll keep an eye on the anemone and if it starts to look like it's not doing to well, I'll stick him at...

I'm looking into buying that same fixture. You'll have to let me know if it's very loud because that's my whole reason for getting a new one...and if I'm getting a new fixture, might as well go with metal halide right!

I hear ya. I just hate to have to buy a whole new set up. I'm gonna get another set up for my 55 because the marineland on it now is just too loud and I'm probably gonna go metal halide on it. Thanks for your help though! I've still gotta make it up to Jenks to check out their aquarium!

I found a couple coralife fixtures online. One with an 18 watt T5 and an 18 watt 10K daylight, and then a fixture with a single 18 watt T5. Of course I'd get one for either side of my tank...but that' really not much wattage, would that be enough to help?

I don't really have a lot of room to add another fixture to each side of the tank unless it's just one or two bulbs...any suggestions? That won't bankrupt me?

Yes, but they're end to end. I bought the tank from a dude at a hell of a steal because he was moving. He told me that he really wanted the coralife lunar lights, but they didn't make a fixture long enough to fit a 125, so he got 2 36 inch fixtures instead. Which I just picked them up and looked...

You're right meowzer, it's a condy...I looked it up and it looks just like the pictures...white with a red foot. Hope it'll do okay in my tank...

The foot of it is bright red though, does that matter? That's why I thought it was so pretty.
