    Some trigger questions

Ok: i hav esome questions regarding triggers. My 2 favorites are the two humu triggers (picasso-Rhinecanthus aculeatus, and rectangular-Rhinecanthus aculeatus). I know these 2 fish should not be kept togather because of their identical body shape, but what do any of you guys think, just your...

    Huma Vs. Picasso triggers

Good call fishgirl. The hawaiian name means fish that carries a trigger and grunts like a pig. cool fish. Have fun in hawaii.

    Filters

For a wet dry, i built my own. Works great. I bought a mag drive pump that pumps 1200 gph. Building it was easy. I got a 20g long, and built a tower (for bio media) and spilloevers out of acrylic and glued them in using a 100% silicone sealer. The thing i like best about building it myself...

    triggers and snails

My question is this: Would triggers eat live snails or other tank cleaning organisms (i know they eat coral, inverts etc, i have observed them in the wild at length), but i don't know if they would eat-for example-turbo snails. Anybody know about this? Thanks for the help The Dude

    Trace Elements

Hi If all you have in the tank is fish (no inverts, not lr, no corals, etc. Just fish), they should be fine without any big time supplements. All i have is fish, and i have never used any kind of supplements, and my fish have been fine, no ich, etc. Maybe other people have some other opinions...

    Buying fish Online

When You say 'this site', do u mean saltwaterfish.com? I have never used this before - but i have bought fish online. It really is not bad. Instead of having the fish shipped to a lfs then to your house, they are shipped directly to your house. One note though - make absolutly sure delivery...

    A fishy question

Veskas and fishgirl - Thanks for your input. I think is i what i'm gonna do. Would you guys reccommend any kind of live food for the triggers? Fishgirl - i love rectangular triggers (and picassos). These were the 2 most abundant triggers when i went swimming in hawii - thats what turned me on...

    YO - Reptilicus

I read your respenses about an all natural method using only a protein skimmer, and it intrigued me. This is the first Ive heard of a system like this and it sounds very interesting. I am currently running a 55 f/o with no live rock, a seaclone (which you say sucks), and a wet/dry filter. My...

    Tang question

I have a f/o with some other fish and a yellwo tang. I have some fake corals and some shells for decoration. I dont think it is a problem to add new fish. I just added a coral beauty and a flame hawk. the tang chased the coral beauty for awhile, but them just started eying him. After about...

    LOWERING PH

Hi, im not positive about this, but i think that the buffer would help the ph remain constant, not change it so much as maintain it (or am i wrong?). But i agree that you should add a good ph buffer-and there are also chemicals that u can use to raise/lower ph-pretty much all lfs shops cary...

    Tank durability

i dont know about longevity, but acrylic does scratch VERY easily. If the scratch is on the outside, it's easy enough to repair-there are several kits to buy-but if its on the inside, you have to drain the tank. Big pain There are probably people who know more-and paossibly check some web...

    Aquarium Photography

What bob said sounds very good. For my pics i make sure the tank is well lighted (ie, external halogens or xenons)-you can get these at a hardware store and are also useful for constuction lights-very well lighted, i use a high shutter speed (to eliminate blurr caused by movement) and ive found...

I will soon be getting a picasso trigger. It is a small juvenile, about 1 in. long. I would like to know some specific care information, or personal expiriences some other people have had. I currently have a 55 gal with a wet/dry, and will soon be setting up a new 90 gol with a wet/dry. Any...
