    kiss my wrasse

Not supposed to be a problem with Emeralds....they are supposed to be reef & fish safe. However, the little pink crab with his beady little eyes and his evil little black-tipped claws HAS GOT TO GO. Now for an update: I think I've found my criminal. Last night, I dropped some shrimp chunks in...

    kiss my wrasse

2 Six-Line wrasses, and one Dragon Wrasse. They are not jumping.....I have a glass top on the tank. The overflow wier (that feeds the sump) doesn't have wide enough slits to allow them to get "sumped". I've been trying to get the pink butt-headed crab out for a while...

    kiss my wrasse

Hi y'all- have not been in here in a while, but here's my question: I have a wrasse problem. Over the last 3 months, I have lost 3 wrasses. I mean LOST. They have vanished withing 1 or 2 days of being introduced to my 115 gallon reef tank. All the other guys are doing well, including 3...

    Flower fot info

The problem with Goni's is that they (as said earlier) need rich water. That translates into higher Nitrates. The latest things I've read say that they need .10-.20 readings to be happy. My two are doing well in .10 Nitrate. So are all my other corals. Burn is right....a little research goes...

    PowderBlue Tang

Salty- I have about 150 lbs LR, and lots of circulation.....my Nitrates never get over 10 ppm. The corals (even the gonipora) are thriving. Most of my fish are small, and they have plenty of individual space. I'm not too worried about overcrowding. I'm more corcerned with which Tang I could...

    VHO Dimmer opinions?

I have the Icecap-approved "Solar 750" on my tank. I have it wired to four VHOs on one ballast. It works as advertised, and I love it. I also have three more VHOs on another ballast that come on for 6 hours during the mid-day cycle to simulate noon sun. It didn't cost 190 bucks, though...

    PowderBlue Tang

My bad, Salty. It's a 30" cube (115 Gal), not 30 Gal. Otherwise you would have been dead-on. I probably wouldn't even keep a Tang in a 30 Gal....they need too much space. How does that change your answer? My other fish(10, sorry, I miscounted earlier): Flame Hawk, 2 Percs, 2 Cardinals...

    PowderBlue Tang

I haven't been in here in a while, but here's an update. My 30 cube reef tamk is doing great, with 16 diferent corals in it, along with 11 fishies. Here's my question: Anyone have a Powder-Blue? Do you also have any other Tang species with him? I have one, and he is doing great, but I'd...
