I have heard not to use the old sand from another tank. Has anyone had problems transfering sand from another tank? I hate to just throw the sand away. Seems like a waste of money.
Natures Ocean live sand states on the bag instant cycling has anyone tried putting fish in right away? Tested water and all is good. If that is the case man that would save waiting time.
I am switching from a 55 gallon to 125 gallon have had the 125 gallon up and running for about 2 weeks went to check water conditions and everything was testing good except for ph it's at 7.4 What would make the ph drop if a week ago I checked water conditions and it was at 8.2?

I recently changed from a hang on filter to a Fluval canister. I have heard that you need to leave the outtake tube out of the water a little bit so it trickles above the water (like a bio wheel) to let the gases escape is this true????
