I ran tests on my tank and the only thing that was off was the PH it was at 8.8 which is .6 over . The test kit suggested buying Proper Ph 8.2. Anyone have any other suggestions?

i changed my filter bag on a 10 gallon tank the 28th and it already seems dirty how long do you usually wait to change it again? i thought it would be 2 weeks? I kept the carbon out of the filter is that right? Sorry still trying to learn!

Thanks I guess I need to go and get some test kits cause I was left with none. I bought a salinity hydrometer and now I guess I need one for the PH. Any other tests I should buy? And the filter bag was filthy I changed that as well, do you think that may of had something to do with it?
