Are mandrinfish good swimmers? I got one a week ago and he just started coming out from hiding. A couple hours later, I found him dead trapped in my power head. He was doing just fine earlier. I love those fish and I want to replace him but I want to find out a reason for his death first...

It is a reef type tank. I do have a pecula clown. It is nice to see how he interacts with the wrasse

I had a featherduster that shed his feathers twice in 6 months before he died. I do not know why he died, it may have been liting conditions

I use r/o water that you get at places that sell drinking water that state that it is r/o water. I drain/siphon the bottom of the crushed coral once a month with about a 20% water change. I have not changed the lights for several months(I have three bulbs) so that may be it.

could you make a few suggestions for me?

probably a yellow tang. I am also open to buttefly fish also. My daughter is picking this fish out as a reward for helping me with the aquarium. She will want somethig that moves a lot and is vibrant in color. :)
