    if we take out the sand and then put it back in the tank and then put the old water back in, would that make an ammonia spike or nitrite spike , b/c I read somewhere that this person was cleaning the tank and maybe somehow hit an ammonia pocket in the sand or something and all the fish died in...

    you said to take out the sand also, would that mess up the sand bed and make all the water parameters go crazy?and how do you handle the fish, do you just put them in a cooler with the old water?

    yes, I had 5 fish before this one , I did the acclimation process and then just put them straight in the DT, I didn't know if I have to quarantine them first or not, and then I don't know what happened eventually they just died one by one, luckily I can get a refund on those but it's sad to see...

    Beth, for sure it's the pop eye, I don't think it's ich it doesn't have the salt grain look, it has white slimy thing on its whole body. I can't take a nice, clearer picture of it.sorry
