hey acrylic!! actually its AMAZING,, its coming out soo good im pissed i didnt go bigger! but the good part is that my next tank build i know will be at least 500+ gallons,, its soo much fun and yet evan more rewarding when you do this stuff yourself. I always was a DIYer though i cant wait to...

o.k so i did a search and found pretty much all my answers, the only question i have left is will a 50 pound bag of this sand be enough to put a 2 inch sandbed on the bottom of a 200 gallon tank???

it all depends if you want glass or acrylic , you will definantly need 1/2" for acrylic and might be able to get away with 3/8 for glass...

wow a 48" high tank would be insane....for acrylic 2 plus inches in thickness i bet that would cost well over a 2 grand a sheet!!!

you should get some pics of this stuff, and document it. it might be some kind of breakthrough

BUMP im tellin everyone to read this but its at the bottom!!! hey mods, you should make this stuff STICKY so theres not as many questions about the same exact stuff. what pumps, what filters, what skimmers etc.

theres 1000 topics on this if you use the search, youll find LOTS of opinions!!! also iwaki pumps seem to be the best pump goin if you dont care abotu money. Tony Detroit's guide that he just wrote in this forum, gives a good rundown on good skimmers and pumps by brand, so look there also!!

The first thing you should do use the search and look up all the topics pertaining to your post while waiting for replys, not only does it help to pass time but you can learn a great deal and usually find some answers before anyone...

the bigger the better, you shouldnt buy a shark without keeping in mind that evan if you have a 250 gallon tank hes going to need more room when hes larger, so if you dont plan on keeping him his whole life dont buy him. but if you do , you can start with a 250 or so. the only sharks to evan...
