i also advise an agressive freshwater tank will chiclids!! very agressive and easier to take care of then a saltwater! Chiclids are VERY colorful and will pretty much dominate the tank and will kill anything else you put in it besides other chilids! (they always have frowns on they're faces)...

Well i doubt this might be it but usually a lion is a big baby and somtime if it doesn't get the good food first it will pout.. kinda like it thinks it's punishing you but not eating and mine went 5 days will out eating and now i have to feed it by hand first so then it won't stop eating like...

not quite sure what it is but my fish had kinda the same diese but it was white ... don't know if it is exactly but what it turned out to be was a parasite and it spread and if i din't get it quik it would kill all my fish luckly it only killed 2. Hope you can find out soon enough!! good luck!

thanx for the advice but i think i'm leaning towards a brackish water puffer tank mostly with green spotted or dwarf but if you know of any other brackish water puffs i like to know asap! Cos i can't find tham at Petsmart! :( Thanx for all your good advice!

sorry to here your star died i suggest you could also try a chocolate chip star that is small it might be easier

i agree with ren one inch odf fish per gallon unless you start to see parasites or your fish are getting too sick!! Don't buy too expensive fish till ure spikes go over!
