    About QT

I would like to put 3 fish into my new tank next week, 2 false percs and a bicolor angle. There are no fish in the tank and it has finished "cycling" with live rock from my LFS. Do i need QT these fish for 2 or 3 weeks or can I just put them in after acclimating them? I know once adding fish...

    Picking out Fish

Ok, I think I've picked out the fish I'm going to use. 2 False perc's 1 bicolor angle and later on down the road a lawnmower blenny. Sound good to everyone?

    Picking out Fish

In a year or so, after I get doing my head fully wrapped around saltwater tanks I want to get a larger tank. I'm new to this but I know that a gallon of water weights about 8lbs and a 100g tank could well end up weighing half a ton. Where would someone set up a tank of that size? I know that...

    Picking out Fish

Nah, they dont need to be reef safe. I just want a mostly fish tank, I know in a few months I'll need a clean up crew. I have 75lbs of live rock in my tank and a 2.5" SB.

    Picking out Fish

I have gotten my tank set up (55g) and I am not waiting for the Ammonia levels to get down to 0. I know I would like to get 2 false perc's. I wanted an emperor angle but was advised not to do so, thanks to the guys on here who informed me about that. I would have hated to buy such an...

The lfs said that since its only a juvenile 1.5" that as long as I did not add any butterfly's or other fish that look similar he would be fine. This is not a permanent tank set up. In a year if all goes well I want to get a 200+ gallon.

I recently set up my first saltwater tank, its a 55Gal tank and the lfs told me that I purchased everything I need, probably more than I needed actually. I have 75lbs of live rock and a 2" sb with live sand, Coralife skimmer rated for 65G, a Coralife UVC sterilizer and an eheim classic filter...
