    Engineer Goby Owners

I bought mine from my LFS about six years ago, and since then he has grown so much that people often mistake him as an eel. He's at least a foot long now, and stays mostly in his caves. He occasionally emerges to eat food that floats downward, but like others, he's rarely fully out of his cave...

    Yellow Tang Fin Loss

Hello everyone. I have another question regarding my Yellow Tang, so I have attached a picture of it's current condition. It's fins have looked like that for at least 2+ years. I don't have any fish that nip at him, as he's a senior member of my tank, being about five years old. Any thoughts on...

    Aiptasia Infestation!

Thanks for the quick replies. I'll check the tank tonight when its dark and try and see the shrimp. I forgot to mention that my red fire shrimp also disappeared along with them. If all else fails, I'll try the suggested chemicals. Thanks again!

    Aiptasia Infestation!

I believe I've got a problem! I hadn't checked behind my rocks in awhile, but the other day, I checked back there, and found a glass anemone about four inches tall! Unfortunately, I forgot that it could be aiptasia, and now, there are tiny little anemones popping up everywhere in my tank! I'd...

Yellow tang + Sailfin Tang = Fight?

Thanks for the quick replies. I now have some good options that I could use. However, the yellow tang in question is quite old, and he has a lot of fin damage from years past that just won't heal for some reason. If I replaced him with a school of 3-4 small yellow tangs, would they still fight...

Yellow tang + Sailfin Tang = Fight?

I just bought a new Sailfin tang for my tank. He's a bit smaller than my old yellow tang, and the yellow tang is nipping his fins to shreds! I was told that adding a third tang would fix this issue, is that true? Also, once they stop fighting, will the Sailfin's fins grow back? Thanks in...

A couple pics of my Tank

He lived for a very long time, and for some reason his health began to degrade very rapidly about a year ago. He had lost almost all of his blue colorings, and he looked very sick. We never found out what happened to him, but we just assumed that he died of old age. He was over 7 years old. I...

A couple pics of my Tank

Yes, that is a scolymia that we purchased about five years ago. It is the oldest coral I have, and is still going strong. I will try to get some more pics up soon.

A couple pics of my Tank

I'm not sure, we got him from a friend who was closing down his tank, and he has looked that way for as long as I have had him. I have always wondered if this pair is the result of a cross between an orange percula and a black percula. I am sure he is healthy though, I think they just laid eggs...
