forget the canister.......it tends to be a nitrate factory in a reef tank....unless you take out all the media..and use it for only circulation...then go ahead with the canister.........lots of live rocks....dsb....and a really good skimmer is all u need:D

yes..there is an O ring for the cup and also the powerhead has a tube that has a little valve at the end.

Once my tank has cycled...and i wanna get my first fish...does the fish have to be QT first?or QTing doesnt apply to first fish. Also another question that ive been trying to figure out, during the QT process...if the fish has ich..will it show in the qt tank? and y didnt it show it at the lfs?
