ive nver had this.. i have a small amount of nitrite which have been coming down over the last week. i have not tested for nitrate i just assumed it wsa up there too. why do i hav eno nitrates ? how can this be?.. no amonia.. no nitrates at all

does not removing the brown redish algae in tank hurt tank? make nitrates etc? whats the down side of leaving it on my live rock? what will it alter in my tanks water quality? and to remove i would take it small snails do teh job nicely? thanks always learning here!!
