the tank has been set up since around christmas. i have about 80 pounds of sand, 10 pounds of live rock, and about 55 pounds of base rock i have a redsea prizim protein skimmer, an aquaclear 500 with no carbon in it, and a maxijet 1200. i have a lot of surface movement. the current symptoms...

im having trouble with my fish. well, i cant keep any alive. so far i have killed a yellow tang, a firefish goby, and a couple percula clowns. basically, all of them started out fine, then started to breath heavy. the clowns, seemed as if their mouths were swollen so much that they could not...

well then what should i do?? i thought i did the right thing by setting up the hospital tank... i know its not a big tank, but the tang is small, only about 2.5 inches, seems like he has enough room in there.

i added a few peices of my live rock. should i add some sand?

would either of those factors affect inverts though? as far as circulation, thats 750 gallons per hour though? i thought that would be enough? i have quite a bit of surface movement. i set up a ten gallon hospital tank for the tang, with a small filter, a light, and come copper. i put him in...

the clowns each lived a little over a week. they started off eating a variety if foods, flake, frozen, and freezedried brine shirmp. then, they would swim in the same spot all day, not eating, then would breathe heavy. eventually, their mouths would look swollen, seems like they couldnt close...

right now im leaning towards a parasite infection, but im still keeping a close watch, i might treat my main tank with kent rxp, which contains no copper. not sure yet, but i think it might be marine velvet. but its hard to tell on the tang i guess.

can i buy a few plants, and put them in my main tank? any speices recommended?

is that true for all dwarf angels? or just ones with similar color and shape? i had hopes on getting a bi color, and perhaps a coral beauty. guess thats squashed now :nope:
