theres no difference between HQI lamps vs single ended lamps are there??

I was thinking about maybe going with single ended style cause the reflectors are a lil cheaper. what other single end style reflectors are good?

I also found these kind of reflectors CoralVue Lumen Bright Reflector any good????

I have a skimmer rated for 300gals. I have a 30 gal tank with just macro algae in it. I have about 200 pounds of live rock total. I do 20% water changes ever two weeks. My nitrates are a 20ppm nothing is being hurt by this i'm just tired of the nitrates and would like to fix it if possible.
