I have used fluval's for 8 years, never had a problem. I have heard that eheim is the best quality but my fluval has been working fine for me.

ok krusk one more question b4 i dissappear for a week. where should i position the airstone in the chamber, toward the top or bottom(i'm assuming the bottom)

krusk, it is completely off. i get bubbles in the chamber and even at the top of the chamber but none pour over into the collection cup. also the bubbles look very clean.

the setup has been running since friday, there are bubbles in the chamber but there are also many bubbles outside the chamber

the tank has been set up for over a year, yes there are bubbles in the chamber, some of which are escaping but i may put a piece of pvc to help confine them. Nothing to skim, so i guess the tank is in pretty good shape?

Okay guys, i went out and bought an air pump and did what you said but all i am getting is bubbles in the chamber that never rise. I tried adjusting the air valve several times with no luck. Maybe i need a stronger air pump?

Hi guys, Just bought a bag of live sand and wanted to add it to my ten gallon, but was unsure of how to do so(other than the obvious!). I have a coral banded shr, emerald crab, clownfish, and a pseudo along with some live rock and a florida crushed coral base. what to do?

also, if i had to, how would i go about curing the rock without putting it in my tank?

right now i have a percula clown, a yellow/purple pseudo snails, hermits and a coral banded shrimp. also have about 3 pounds of live rock

I would definately leave it at work. I wish i could keep one at my job espically during the more stressful times.

I have a ten gallon, with a coralife 50/50(20 watt) a skilter and a biowheel. All readings are near zero(ammonia, nitrate etc.) I have a perc clown and a pseudo in the tank right now and was thinking of adding a hammer coral. Any advice for aor against this idea?

I would not worry about it, it should subside in a few if it has not already

Hey all, I have a ten gallon with a skilter and biowheel. Have a sebae clown and a purple/yellow pseudo. I want to add coral banded shrimp but the guy at the lfs advised me not to saying they are very aggressive and would eventually kill my fish. Any merit to this statement?

I agree, also the damsel will get territorial with the other fish over time.. I would try to get rid of the damsel b4 adding anyting new.
