im getting some really short hair algea in some areas, would a sand sifting goby get rid of that? i have a phosban reactor that i just put on about a week ago and i havent noticed a difference at all :(

can you show me a picture of the out put of the skimmer? like where the water exits the skimmer? i used to have a wet dry similar to yours and there was a hole going back into the bio balls. is tehre a hole in yours? in the middle wall of the wet dry? if not, maybe you can drill one and let...

i have heard that it does matter and that some cans will leach stuff back into the water.

well i think that the maxijet 600 will work just the same. it is 160gph. after head loss of about 1 foot and the ball valve turned about half way i am getting very little movement of the phosban media.

they recommend a maxi jet 500. i have a 600. i know alot of people use 400-600's so i dont think it is too powerful. so the media shouldnt tumble or move really at all? it has a ball valve on it that i can regulate the water.

yes, its still making bubbles but VERY low. i have a reef devil deluxe and it is very sensitive. should the phos be moving around alot of pretty much be sitting on the bottom?

im using a maxijet 600 and wondering how much should i have the ball valve open or closed? right now it is in the middle i would say and only 1" of the phosban is getting moved around. what should the phosban in the chamber be doing? and is it normal that my skimmer isnt working?
