    Well the problem is my flowerpots not dead and I know they tend to have limited life spans but it was flourishing before this. I'm relatively sure the amphipod are to blame, several are in there. And its not dead yet...

    Hi, haven’t posted in awhile but I have a problem... My flowerpot wasn’t looking to good and anyway I lift it up and it has a tunnel dug straight up it. A while earlier a crab had been eating it, now a smaller crab is missing and I can only assume it has eaten its way up. How do I get it out...

    I know how to get rid of it, the algae issue was due to a powerhead that failed without my notice and im still in the prosses of getting another, and also my limited clean up crew, waiting for another shipment of snails. I just want to know the name of the one in the first pic.

    ok im done 1. No idea 2. Dont think its cyanobacteria because its not all wavy 3. Hair algea 4.Just plain green algea? 5. For sure cyanobacteria (Red slime or cyarno) 6. Could just be hair algea when its on sand Go ahead and correct me if im wrong or fill in the blanks

    I have 2x96 watt PC and my BTA was very happy, I dont know if you need that much but its also helpful to think ahead. Are you looking to eventually change your tank into a reef? If so you could always spend the extra and get VHOs or MH. Just getting around 150$ lights just for an anemone is...

    They do get big though look at mine compared to my damsel. I can vouch (sp?) for those spores, they went away in a day though. I've never had any problems with them and I've had tiny damsels before too, i dont think there dumb enough to swim into its mouth.
