Well, I would get astrea snails before the turbos honestly. Also, turbos have a habit of moving things but so do emeralds. One emerald should be fine in a 55. Also cleaner shrimp won't relly clean anything in your tank, except your fish. They clean parasites off fish, that's where they get there...

Yeah and toss some pieces of pvc pipe in there to hide in. -less stress... And feed the hell out of him, even if it is flakes, but be careful not to leave food all over the tank, you don't overload the QT with food...

I would either pick up a mix of zoo and phyto, most credible brands make it. Other than that, you can just mash up some mysis until it's like a puree and put a little in front of the powerhead.

If you added any saltwater at the same time, that'll do it but it will also leave lines of calcium on the glass. You just need to figure out the uptake of calcium in your system. I never go by the directions. I start with minimal and gradually increase if my testing tells me too.
