and yes it will cause this behavior in your trigger. this is why i feed my trigger with tongs. im not sure if that is the cause of this strange behavior but it is am idea. keep up the good work with the feeding!

actually trigger fish do need to burp sometimes! its unhealthy but they do it. if you feed your trigger fish floating food they will swallow air sometimes. this is because of trigger's special mouth. they are not meant to come to the surface and eat.

it strongly resembles the grey snapper, you can see the line across its face. it is also looks similar to a hog fish. only time will tell what the fish is when it is mature. grey snapper: hog fish:

it looks very similar to my gray snapper as far as body shape. but if it is from south Florida it opens up many possibility's. i will haft to search my fish id book and replie with a proper id.
