You shouldn't dose anything unless you have an accurate test kit. if your parameters are off and your scheduled water change is not around the corner, it would be best to maintain parameters as close to natural seawater as possible.

Your Biopellets are already a source of carbon. The output of the pipe from the reactor should go in close proximity to the skimmer. What your seeing is a flocculant. It's a bunch of bacteria that's formed a biofilm because of the excess carbon dosing. Quit one source or the other and let your...

I'm guessing you have a sump. DC pump skimmers are all the rage these days. Look into a RLSS skimmer or Skimz. You can control how fast the pump is, which may be a good benefit to have.

If your pump is underpowered, it will cause bubbles to be trapped inside the tube, causing it to lose siphon. With enough flow, it pushes the bubbles through and they don't get trapped. It's physics.
