Also,check for patches of eggs around their hangout incase that is in fact what is happening. May be too late to save the babies if they layed eggs,but atleast you'll know for next time. Do they seem sick,or just a lil frisky? Lol

Also,during breeding,its a good idea to feed some good quality meaty foods for them. Keep us posted.

Research clown mating. Ive read during mating and possible egg laying that when they are ready they will have something protruding like you speak of. Remember though,just because one is ready,doesn't mean the other is. Check both clowns for this just in case before you freak out like I did over...

Actually,if you only have used it for 2 months,you should have close to another 4 months of use left. But when the time comes it takes about 32 hours to regenerate purigen. Have you thought about sand sifting stars/brittle stars as a CUC since your having issues with hermits?

Have you thought about regenerating your purigen? When it gets dark in color its time to clean and bleach the purigen. Just a thought.

Are you sure they were eating your Zoas? Id buy a couple mexican turbos and some blue legged hermits. You have way too little CUC. I would also cut back on feeding your fish and even cut a couple hours of light on your tank until its under control. I run purigen and phosgard and I also have...

What kind of lights? How long are lights on?

Is that all the cleanup crew you have? No astrea snails hermits....etc? How often do you feed?

Using tap water or rodi?

How long has the tank been set up? Are you doing water changes? Did you add a bunch of live stock all ar once? What about your water parameters? Need this info to help you better.

I never noticed then until I upgraded my lights. The blues bring out everything real good. I was wondering why my clowns were nipping at the glass the past few days. Now I know!

Guess I do know how to start up a tank after all. I have lots of copepods on my DT glass. That's a very good sign that I'm doing it right! It's amazing seeing a tank come to life.

I have checked out these skimmers and I think I'm leaning towards the tunze 9001. Thank you for your response as this has helped my decision quite a bit.

Around $60 on amazon. These babys are super bright. My camera photos look nothing like it does in person.
