I was told to "vacuum the sand" with the siphon hose. the siphon hose has a screen which keeps the sand from leaving the main tank. My sand has green and red/purple stuff growing on it. My friend said that is good stuff. He called it "coralene" Norbert

Nice tank. Do you have sand and live plants in the prefilter? What do they for your tank? I thought the water would be moving too fast through there. Can you post some more pics.? Norbert

I love the blue tangs. They love to lay horizontal or vertical under rocks.
