Always qt your fish. The guy is an idiot!!!!! Ok a power head creates flow. Flow keeps detrius from accumulating. It keeps it in the water column so your filter can remove it. Floating the bag is not correct either. You need to match temp and salinity

Not to throw too much at you. You will want a power head in a 55. I have 3 in my 75

Ok so u did see ammonia. Then your cycle did start. You don't want to do water changes during the cycle tho. Sw test kits are best. Api is ok but red sea is a better one. Don't trust most lfs unfortunately

If your tank cycled you will read nitrates. Very low but u should have some. What your tests show is uncycled water. Your salinity is fine. The bottles of bacteria are worthless in sw tanks.

Reading of zero means your tank hasn't cycled. Its not ready for any fish

I should say tho cheato imo is the least appealing to fish so the fact he devoured it means he was hungry. Calpera and gracilla are more appealing generally

The macro will only decrease your nitrate. So don't worry about having too much. I put about 2 qt of it in and its gone in 2 days. I feed it maybe 1-2 a month but its a treat all my fish eat frozen. Imforbis is rt that it looks good and heathy now so every other day is fine.

Rabbit fish in general are skittish at first. Mine still is and I've had it 2 months. Honestly stock up on macro. Cheato, gracilla, calpura and feed that until he comes around

Fish can hide in the smallest places. Tangs especially do seem to like getting cleaned. My yellow lets my shrimp clean him up

It was a good year since i bought a new fish for my 75. Totally agree on the peice of mind point. Now that I've upgraded i really enjoy the fish shopping again but not its qt qt qt lol

Lol not pairing up iam fine with. I just don't want her to kill it. All my tanks have clowns so its not as easy as just move it to a diff tank.
