    yes i have done it and do it all the time. netting the fish will be next to impossible(it may also harm the fish). they have ther holes to run too on the reef and a net is just to slow to cach them. what you need is a suction gun. you swim up to the fish point the gun and pull the handle sucking...

    silverado they do sell automatic fish feeders. get your fish on dry food befor you leav and hire the neighborhood kid to come in and check on them for you and re fill the feeder if needed.
