    Do I need a sump/refugium?

Also you shouldn't have to QT the black mollies, fresh water ich cannot jump phylum and attack marine fishes or survive in a marine tank.

What is the brand and model # of your light fixture? we can tell you if its ho or not, determining that will play a huge role in what you can or shouldn't try to keep.

    Do I need a sump/refugium?

interestingly enough male black mollies are easily acclimated to marine water and are hellacious algae grazers (if you happen to have a GHA problem in a tank they are a neat way to chop it back while you deal with the source)

put a dome light over the fuge area with a specimen container with a little cheato in it. once the clump grows large enough I will enlarge the cheato area. no pics of this because its boring and nearly impossible to photograph now with the back adn dome light in the way.

ok so the pic is crappy but I went black. I used a piece of firestone roofing rubber as a hanging background that way I can remove it easily and its durable as well as providing a small amount of sound/heat insulation to the tank

skimmers are good at pulling calcium and other stuff out as well as pollution, so its not surprising for a skimmer to skim on "clean" water. Try it some time mix up some water and throw your skimmer in it, it may not get a lot but it will pull anything hydrophobic out of the water.

    Do I need a sump/refugium?

The UV would be great on a quarantine tank. thats where I run mine. that way it helps to mitigate treatments like hyposalinity by helping to kill the waterborn phase of ich if the flow rate is slow enough through the sterilizer. unfortunately most sterilizers flow rate are way too fast out of...

Smaller place, bigger tank...My 200DD build

Those are all nice looking frags. and no worries about lighting during photos, i'm fairly familiar with the appearances of corals under tons of different lighting. I would rather see natural shots than the photos where people "adjust" them for color,

    Do I need a sump/refugium?

Probably because Cnidae (which is what a nematocyst is) are the most complex intracellular secretion products know.

    Do I need a sump/refugium?

I prefer sumps but no you don't need one. I've run many successful tanks with out them. And yes you could easily run both a sump and your canister, you would just plumb in your sump then hook your canister onto your sump. Just my opinion here anemone should be considered the same difficulty as...
