I feel your pain. I had to take out like 60# of rock last nt to move a wrasse. My purple pseudo was harassing the hell out of him. Thats one fish I will never get again. I must have freed up a bunch of pods tho bc the mandys where all over when I put the rock back lol

Agreed. I qt fish in a 29 and thats small for tangs. However for the short qt time its ok. A ten gal wouldn't even qualify for a qt

Thank you both. A hob just wouldn't be big enough for my tank. Adding multiple seems idiotic. So I'am trying to weigh between sump or canister. The two best options for larger tanks. Currently all my tanks run off hob w/o issue, but again a hob just wouldn't be enough

Why are canisters considered bad for sw tanks? I know nitrate traps, or is this old school thinking?

Just to reiterate , your premix needs to be the same sg as your tank when u do water changes. Rapid changes up or down can be deadly for tank inhabitants. The brute is an excellent idea, depending how often you do water changes make sure to check ur sg tho. If u mix it at 1.021 on say nov 1...

Nls pellets are good. Frozen for the fish u want should be , mysis, brine, spirulina brine, mega marine, mega marine alage. Brine it self has minimal nutritional value, the spirulina brine is atleast gut loaded. You can always make ur own too
