    Since u dont have fish. Now is the time to change to sand. You can use dry sand its much cheaper. It will become live over time. Crushed is just a pain in the ass to clean lol

    Sand sifters prevent those pockets bc they do sift. Down side they do eat the fauna in the sand bed. I have narsissus snails and a sand sifting goby so my sand bed is well aerated.

    I hear ya. I have a 56 myself. a lfs just got one of the red sea 36 cubes in. Thats why it came to mind. They are pricey tho. Alot of folks like the 29 bio cube

    It varies. I had a fair amount hermits and they would whack snails. Even w extra shells. A couple of hitchhiker mantis shrimp thinned the hermits down tho lol. So now I do mostly snails

    ***** are complete idiots. They did redo mine. Then got a 7"naso in a 10gal tank. Redone or not none of there tanks are big enough for those fish. I like you bought it. The stress marks do go away. I hate buying anything from there bc it just promotes sales
